The Transfer Seat Base can be installed in a driver or front passenger position in most wheelchair accessible vehicles, mainly lowered-floor minivans or full-size vans. On most applications, the Seat Base does not require extra drilling into the vehicle floor because it mounts to the original mounting holes.
The Base comes in an array of colors: black, light gray, charcoal or tan to match the OEM seat and the interior of your vehicle. Since the original seat is utilized, it will maintain its original functions of reclining etc. The additional motions of up/down, forward/backward and left/right will give the user up to 180 degree rotation power (turning toward the center of your van) so they can safely and easily transfer from their wheelchair into and out of the seat. To allow for comfortable transfers, a handheld pendant can be added into this application.
