Adaptive Driving Repairs and Installations: February 2026

During winter months we spend a lot of time performing routine maintenance on mobility vehicles. Due to our not so perfect climate, we see corrosion related issues that are affecting electronics and mobility components. 

Installation #1: Mobility adaptation on a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado

Equipment Type: Vehicle conversion and mobility adaptation for a wheelchair driver
Vehicle: 2025 Chevrolet Silverado
Customer Location: Darien, IL
Challenge Solved: Brand new 2025 Chevy Silverado with ATC Conversion and adaptation with mobility equipment to accommodate wheelchair driver.

Installation Details:

  • Equipment: ATC Mobility  Conversion, Sure-Grip Featherlite electronic left hand push-rock hand control, Q’Straint Docking System, AVQ secondary functions control     system, effortless steering system, EMC Smart-Shift electronic gear shifter
  • Installation time: two months
  • Special considerations: Complex setup for a driver with spinal injury relying on fully automatic mobility conversion, hand controls, effortless steering and custom adaptation to control secondary functions such as turn signals, horn, wipers and headlights 

 Customer Outcome: This was a big project and is finally complete. The new owner is back on the road after years of rehab.

Repair #2: Electrical Repairs on a Chrysler Pacifica Commercial Mobility Van

Equipment Type: Commercial Mobility Van
Vehicle: Chrysler Pacifica
Customer Location: Chicago, IL
Challenge Solved: Electrical issue preventing vehicle from starting

Repair Details:

  • Random lights on the dash affecting driveability and functionality of the mobility conversion. Found corrosion inside the floor inside electrical connectors

Customer Outcome: Issue fully resolved after repairing and replacing damaged electrical components

Maintenance #3: Annual Maintenance on a mobility vehicle

Equipment Type: All mobility Conversions
Vehicle: All mobility Conversions
Customer Location: Chicago, IL
Challenge Solved: Annual mobility maintenance is necessary for trouble free mobility conversion operation. Recommended at least once a year for retail customers and every quarter for our commercial customers.

Maintenance Details:

  • During annual mobility conversion maintenance we inspect, clean and adjust mobility conversion components. Many times it allows us to spot areas of concern early, before it becomes an issue. 

 Customer Outcome: Repair is completed. Customer back on the road.
