American 1 Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution that puts people first. Unlike traditional banks, credit unions exist to serve their members — which means more competitive rates, fewer fees, and a process built around your needs, not a bottom line.

As an AMS Auto customer, you’ll have direct access to their online loan application, making it easy to get started from the comfort of your home.

What to Expect:

Applying is straightforward. Here’s a quick overview of the process:

Check if you’re already a member. If you have an existing American 1 Credit Union account, you can log in to Online Banking and apply for a loan directly — your information will be pre-filled to save you time.
Not a member yet? Joining is easy. Membership is open to you, and getting started requires only a one-time $3 membership fee to join the Community 1 Co-Op. You can complete the entire membership and loan application online.
Have your documents ready. To complete your application, you’ll need:
- Your U.S. Social Security Number or Taxpayer Identification Number
- A valid photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport)
Apply online at your own pace. The application saves your progress, so if you need to step away, you can log back in and pick up where you left off. Note: the session will time out after 30 minutes of inactivity.
