The end of the year is here. We are finishing a few installations and starting an exciting new project on a 2025 Chevy Silverado.
Installation #1: ATC Conversion on a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado
Equipment Type: Vehicle conversion and mobility adaptation for a wheelchair driver

Customer Location: Darien, IL
Challenge Solved: Brand new 2025 Chevy Silverado with ATC Conversion and adaptation with mobility equipment to accommodate wheelchair driver.
Installation Details:
- Equipment: ATC Mobility Conversion, Sure-Grip Featherlite electronic left hand push-rock hand control, Q’Straint Docking System, AVQ secondary functions control system, effortless steering system, EMC Smart-Shift electronic gear shifter
- Installation time: two months
- Special considerations: Complex setup for a driver with spinal injury relying on fully automatic mobility conversion, hand controls, effortless steering and custom adaptation to control secondary functions such as turn signals, horn, wipers and headlights
Customer Outcome: Will provide an update when the adaptation is finished.
Installation #2: Right hand, floor mounted hand control on a 2019 Tesla X
Equipment Type: Floor mounted hand control
Vehicle: 2019 Tesla X
Customer Location: Johnsburg, IL
Challenge Solved: Customer in manual wheelchair using Tesla X with right hand, floor mounted hand control
Installation Details:
- Equipment: Veigel Compact II Hand Control with MeCommander
- Installation time: 2 days
- Special considerations: Floor mounted right hand control provides a convenient way to operate gas and brake without a need to disable tilt and telescope of the steering column. Also, MyCommander allows control of turn signals, horn and other functions directly from a hand control, using forward installed buttons
Customer Outcome: After completing mobility evaluation and training, the customer’s existing vehicle has been converted with the very popular Veigel Compact II mechanical push-pull hand control. Our customer is back on the road!
Installation #3: Hand Controls and Wheelchair Storage on a 2023 Kia Carnival
Equipment Type: Electronic left hand Push-Rock hand control
Vehicle: 2023 Kia Carnival
Customer Location: Downers Grove, IL
Challenge Solved: First time wheelchair driver getting new car adapted to drive with hand controls and being able to store a manual wheelchair in the mid row section of the minivan
Installation Details:
- Equipment: Electronic left hand Veigel eConnect Push-Rock hand control, Asento Seat and Speedy Lift
- Installation time: 2 days
- Special considerations: A new wheelchair driver needs to transfer inside the van through a driver’s door and independently store the manual wheelchair.
Customer Outcome: New wheelchair driver now being able to enter and exit thru a driver door using Asento Lift and Speedy Wheelchair Lift and drive the car using hand controls
